On March 24, 2018, scouts from Somers Troop 376 camped out at Camp Pomperaug in Union, Connecticut and had an amazing time visiting Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.   The boys stepped back in time to the 19th century and learned what life was like from the blacksmith, the tinmaker, bakers,  and many other townspeople.  The day ended with some rank advancement work and the scouts even prepared 18th century fried chicken and 21st century dump cakes in dutch ovens back at the campsite.  We couldn’t ask for a better weekend!
