The boys of Troop 376 braved the cold one February weekend and went on an ice climbing trek near Tannersville, NY. We stayed at the lovely snow covered Camp Tri-Mount and even went tubing the first night at Hunter Mountain. The next day, we met our guides from Alpine Endeavors and suited up with crampons, harnesses, helmets and ice picks and made the arduous hike through the woods, up valleys, down valleys and finally to the ice climbing location. The boys and even the adult leaders climbed all afternoon and into the early evening where we arrived back to the campsite and collapsed from exhaustion. A fun weekend for all!
