Scouts from Troop 376 reported for basic training this past weekend at the annual West Point Camporee. The scouts participated in everything from the Commando challenge, Ranger Challenge, Fire building challenge and a ton of other challenges with all the stations run by West Point cadets. Helicopters and paratroopers rained down from the sky followed by a roaring bonfire and concert that night. Everyone survived even through the torrential downpours and ankle deep mud. The troop apologizes for the 50 pounds of mud we brought back home but the smiles of everyone that participated made it all worthwhile. Looking forward to a future invitation!
My boys had a great time, but considering the mud they brought home on their shoes… I hope that there’s still some dirt left at West Point!
