On the evening of October 29, Liam McGuinness passed his Eagle Scout Board of Review to become Troop 376’s 79th Eagle Scout. Like Eagle Scout #78 before him, Liam chose Rhinoceros Creek Reservation in Somers, NY as the site of his Eagle project, tackling another steep and dangerous incline on a hiking trail, making it far safer and more accessible to nature-lovers exploring the area.
With 33 merit badges earned to date, Liam is immediately eligible for a Bronze Eagle Palm (for earning 5 additional merit badges beyond the 21 required) and a Gold Eagle Palm (for earning 10 additional beyond the 21 required). Liam plans to earn at least three more merit badges in order to achieve the Silver Eagle Palm (for earning 15 additional beyond the 21).
Troop 376 congratulates Liam on his accomplishments! We look forward to his continued activity with the Troop and the inspiration he will be for our more junior Scouts as they consider their own path to Eagle.
