On Tuesday, June 13, Tyler Brownstein passed his Eagle Scout Board of Review and became Somers BSA Troop 376’s 76th Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project, Tyler coordinated the replacement of the sign at Van Tassell Park on Route 139, between Primrose Elementary and Reis Park. In addition to replacing the aging sign itself, he also arranged for new plantings to be placed around it. The finished product looks amazing and is sure to last for years to come.

Tyler, who also just “aged out” of the Troop (by turning 18) will head off to pursue his passion of cooking at the renowned Culinary Institute of America. He was already looking the part last month during this year’s Dutch Oven Cookoff at Lake Lincolndale (pictured above).

Troop 376 congratulates Tyler and wishes him the very best as he moves on to his next chapter!
